Picture to the right is a photo of the Marble Temple, Wat Benchamabophit, and below left is a picture of its main Buddha.

The photo on the right below is a view from the tuk-tuk as we travel through the streets of Bangkok.

Wat Pho above and below. Pictured above left is the reclining Buddha and to its right a photo of the temple grounds. Below is a close-up of the spires shown in the background of the picture above. Bottom right is a smaller temple in Wat Pho and its sitting Buddha. There are hundreds of Buddhas throughout Wat Pho, these are the two main ones.

I spent Christmas Eve sightseeing in Bangkok which meant visiting Wat (Buddhist Temples). I took the boat up the river to Wat Pho and started with the Temple of the Reclining Buddha and then hired a tuk-tuk and headed to Wat Benchamabophit (Marble temple) and then a small Temple with a standing Buddha. My tuk-tuk driver also took me to 2 tailors and one gem shop. Well I don’t need suits or jewelry, so they and my driver who undoubtedly was doing this for the kickbacks were out of luck. I saw some great sights and was able to take in downtown Bangkok form a unique perspective. I wonder if they have ever heard of a catalytic converter?
